“It was an easy, enjoyable course because the trainer was great and gave good instructions. I didn't have much trouble learning how to make the kafia. I was the first of my class to complete the project, in six days, and because of this I was able to make another during the course. I am now making my third kafia from home, as a gift to my father. I sold my first two projects for 25 JD to a local store and am excited to have this skill I can carry with me beyond the course."
Mona Hijia is a student at the Kafia Training Center in the Municipality of Al Karak. Mona presented a hand-woven kafia, the first group project, to Christopher Udall (CEO of Rebuild for Peace), as a gesture of gratitude on behalf of the class.
