Stories of Peace: Reema AlHijia

“I finished high school last year, but didn't have enough money to go to college. I lost hope that I would ever be on a track that would allow me to contribute to my family. My sister is unemployed and I didn't want to be in the same situation. My accomplishments in this clothing manufacturing training have helped me to regain hope, because now, I have a passion that will allow me to work productively wherever I am. When I finished my first kafia, my colleagues and neighbors approved of it right away. I will keep doing this from home, with the goal of starting a small, but successful business in my community."

Reema is a Student at the Clothing Manufacturing Training Center in the Municipality of Al Karak in Jordan.
